This course aims to provide you with an overview of the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, the scoring criteria and how inspectors evaluate them, the appeals procedure, the Safer Food Better Business management system, E-Coli, and provides helpful advice for businesses.
The Food Standards Agency approved a National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme in December 2008, and it is currently available throughout Wales, Northern Ireland, and in 99% of England. The rating system is intended to signpost companies that are managing food safety risks in compliance with food law. This course will identify and discuss the meaning of food hygiene ratings, define the scoring criteria and provide information on how the final score is calculated. The course will help businesses to understand the Safeer Food, Better Business management system, recognise good hygiene practices and how to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
