This course begins with an overview of the four primary licensing objectives and the laws governing the sale of alcohol in the UK. Applications, conditions, representations, and reviews are discussed along with the three primary types of licenses. You’ll discover the obligations that personal license holders have under the law, how to interact with licensing authorities, and details about hearings, fees, and objections.

The course will also cover topics related to Temporary Event Notices and the mandatory requirements that apply to all licensed premises. You’ll learn about licensing laws and best practices as they relate to people under 18 as well as the important topic of age verification. Finally, this course helps you to understand the duties associated with selling alcohol, such as acceptable drinking limits and ways to diffuse conflict.
