Description
What’s covered
This course covers a variety of workplace issues, and how to identify, manage, and resolve them. You’ll discover the three key areas – people, tasks, and resources – where issues can arise. This includes personality conflicts, offensive or illegal behaviour, poor communication, and differences of opinion.
You will learn how to ensure that time at work is used productively and how time can be wasted due to individual actions and poorly organized work systems. We’ll address issues with resources, such as a shortage of supplies or tools, and the various ways that managers, employees, and outside organisations can solve issues. Finally, we’ll look at the Equality Act of 2010 and its implications for discrimination in the workplace, and the advantages that arbitration, negotiation, compromise, conciliation, and mediation have over other dispute resolution methods in the workplace.
