Description
What’s covered
Performance management is formally defined as the process of achieving performance goals through the efficient management of people and the environment in which they operate. It involves establishing realistic objectives for the organisation as well as targets for people and groups. In any organisation, the traditional model of strict command and control wastes a significant amount of time and money. Mutual trust, employee motivation and readiness to perform can easily be undermined. Performance management, on the other hand, offers a different, much more effective approach. This course provides an overview of the definition and benefits of successful performance management, how to set goals, objectives and targets and how best to implement these strategies. The course then looks in detail at evaluation, monitoring, feedback and coaching to ensure targets are achieved.
