This course provides a detailed overview of the many components of Mental Capacity Act. This includes who the act applies to, when it does, how to determine a person’s capacity, and the policies that can be implemented at home or at work to guarantee that best practices are followed and everyone is treated fairly at all times.
The course goes on to discuss protections against liberty infringement. These protections offer a framework for approving the deprivation of liberty for individuals who are incapable of giving their consent for treatment or care in a hospital or care facility.
