This course covers common health and safety issues that are relevant in a variety of business types and industries, including office and retail settings as well as workshops and factories. This provides an excellent resource for serving as an introduction to workplace health and safety because of the wide range of topics it covers. By the end of this course the candidate will have an understanding of health and safety legislation and definitions of common terms associated with health and safety. This is followed up with some statistics outlining the most common causes of accidents in the workplace.
The course also covers the importance of wearing the proper PPE as directed, best practices related to the control of substances hazardous to health regulations, and the typical fire safety procedures to follow.
