What’s covered

According to the most recent estimates, 39% of all work-related illnesses are cases of stress, depression, or anxiety at work. Although stress may be more common in some professions, it can impact anyone’s health, and their ability to function well at work, at home, and in interpersonal relationships. The Health and Safety Executive suggest that, ‘Work-related stress develops because an individual cannot handle the demands being placed upon them.’ They may experience this in any area of their lives, but it frequently results from demands made of them at work.

In this course, you’ll learn about stress and its effects, as well as some of the causes of stress and some ways to minimise the risk.
