The topic of positive handling is extremely important. Knowing when and how to react in a challenging situation can mean the difference between a successful outcome and a potential prosecution that could end your career.
This course will start by looking at some examples and statistics which highlight the seriousness and extent of aggressive pupil behaviour, it will then go on to explain how you can identify the stages of aggression and provide some tips on how you could de-escalate a situation. The course also examines the law’s position on the matter and, finally, best practices you should follow in theory if you ever have to restrain a student.
