Description
What’s covered
Further terrorist attacks in our nation are “highly likely,” according to intelligence. Experience has taught us that terrorists raised in Britain pose just as much a threat as those who are foreign nationals. Therefore, it is crucial that our counterterrorism strategy includes a policy to stop radicalisation and deter potential terrorists. The ‘Prevent’ strategy, published by the Government is part of the overall counter-terrorism strategy.
This course begins with a summary of the government’s Prevent strategy before examining some of the causes of extremism. The Prevent strategy’s goals are also covered, along with how to base your decisions on a risk-based strategy, what to do if you have concerns, and much more.
