The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 applies to all workplaces regardless of the number of employees. This order mandates requires employers to provide adequate training in fire awareness for all members of their staff. Individuals who have received training to assist with emergency fire evacuation procedures at businesses and other organisations are known as Fire Marshalls (also referred to as Fire Wardens). Workplaces are required by law to have enough Fire Marshals on their staff to handle emergencies involving fire. This course examines the role of the Fire Marshall as it applies specifically to the Care Home setting.
